The tourists in the village can take part in a series of local customs, more important of which are:
- The celebration of Ravnogor ST. PETER’S DAY takes place every year on the last Friday of June. The celebration continues for three days – until Sunday and it is filled with various folklore programme and a lively horo/Bulgarian folk dance/ is curving. Guests of the celebration are members of the municipal council, supreme representatives of church and prominent statesmen. The tourists have the opportunity to enjoy the Rhodope traditions and celebration.
- Youth celebration – takes place on the last Friday of July – It’s a natural continuation of the Soldier’s celebration, when the levis were sent to barrack. The girls and the boys are preparing for a long time for the celebration which lasts for three days and three nights. You can hardly see anywhere else so many youngsters who dance folk dances for 6 – 7 hours uninterruptedly on the square.
- St. Ilija’s day - people celebrate it on the 20th of July or the Saturday before it. The fair takes place alongside of the ‘St. Ilija’ chapel. Everyone lies on the meadow round the chapel and enjoys the Rhodope music and traditions. At this celebration there are a lot of family meetings, a boiled mutton is cooked, people dance traditional folk dances.
- Potato festival – Potatoes are the main cultivation in Ravnogor and means of living for the inhabitants. From old times the village is recognized as a centre of eco-production of potatoes for southern Bulgaria. The seed-producing farm which existed here until 1990 and was one of the biggest in Bulgaria has contributed for the good reputation of the local production. At the present moment the village is well-known throughout the country with the ecologically pure potatoes produced here. The celebration exists scarcely from the autumn of 2005 but from now on it will carry out through the last Friday of October. It consists of presentation of potatoes, specific dishes and decoration of them. For the best performed in the categories people there are rewards, too.
- ‘St. Elena and Konstantin’ - at the peak of the same name is set up a chapel where a boiled mutton is cooked. The inhabitants of the village and the guests go there to express their homage or just to go for a walk. It is carried out through the church celebration ‘St. Elena and Konstantin’.
- ‘St. Nedelia’ - it is organized at the peak of the same name on 1578 m above the sea level. It is carried out through the church celebration Whitsunday. A boiled mutton for good health is cooked.
